Photo Quilts

A photo quilt is a wonderful way to honor a graduate, remember a passed loved one, or commemorate a special occasion.  To begin, choose the photos to be included in your quilt.  Photos that have been uploaded to your own computer from a digital camera will yield the best results.  However, if you have only traditional paper photos or even slides, our shop has the equipment for use in scanning them onto our computer with excellent results.  Your photos should have a common theme, just as they would if you were assembling a photo collage.  Theme examples:  high school or college graduations, weddings and anniversaries, travel to special locations, athletic achievements, honoring the memory of a loved one who has passed on.  Using the photos you provide we will print their images onto fabric which will be cropped and sewn into your special quilt.  You can also include document images such as birth certificates, immigration documents, marriage certificates and so on.  Photo quilts can be made in all sizes from crib to king, and also as wallhangings.

Tee-Shirt Quilts

Do you have an athelete in the family?  Consider having a quilt made from the tee-shirt or sweatshirt logos of events as a special recognition!

Memory Quilts

A memory quilt (not including photo images) is another way to commemorage a special event, achievement, life passage, and so on.  Simply select clothing and other fabric items that hold special memories for you and send them to us.  We will deconstruct the items and use them to create your quilt or wallhanging.  Clothing items should be 100% or at least 50% cotton.  Examples:  tee-shirts, shirts, pants, jeans, and ties.   If you need assistance in choosing clothing items, Click HERE to send us an email.

HELPFUL HINTS:

Consider sending fabric squares signed by family members, co-workers, etc., for incorporation into your quilt or wallhanging.

Wallhangings, which are NOT laundered by washing machine, are ideal for adding items such as special buttons, pins, insignia, medals, and other personal momentos.
